Supervision
Working with children and families affected by trauma can be emotionally demanding and professionally complex. Our specialist one-to-one supervision provides a reflective space for practitioners, managers and leaders to think deeply about their work, strengthen clinical reasoning and develop greater confidence when working with families experiencing attachment trauma and complex relational difficulties.
Grounded in attachment theory, mentalization and trauma-informed practice, supervision supports practitioners to move beyond managing behaviour or risk alone and instead understand the emotional and relational processes influencing the family system. Together, we explore the child’s and parent’s experiences, consider what behaviour may be communicating, and develop thoughtful, relationship-based interventions that promote meaningful and sustainable change.
Sessions are tailored to the individual and can focus on complex case formulation, parenting assessments, family interventions, reflective practice, professional development or managing the emotional impact of working in child protection. Supervision provides a supportive environment to enhance decision-making, build resilience and ensure practice remains compassionate, evidence-informed and centred on the needs of children and families.
